Chantala Davis Founder/President of A Mother's Arms, Inc. was born and raised in Clearwater, Florida mother of three and grandmother of four. She is a Dunedin High School and Eckerd College graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Human Services. For years she has held positions as Outreach Worker, Program Facilitator, and Youth Support Worker as well as participated with local groups and organizations as a community advocate. She is also a member of the National Black Child Development Institute and has a passion for helping others, loving and supporting the children, and assisting her community with growth and development.
LaTisha Bell, Vice President, was born and raised in Clearwater, Florida. She is a wife, mother of three, and grandmother of three. She graduated from Clearwater High School and holds an Associate's, Bachelor's, and Master's Degree in Criminal Justice. She has worked for non-profit agencies in the Human Services field for over 20 years in various roles providing services to children and families. Her positions held included Case Manager for homeless families, Child and Family Consultant, Developmental Specialist as well as many other leadership and management roles. LaTisha has always had a passion for helping others. She is committed to the advancement of her community and playing an instrumental role in the mission of A Mother's Arms, Inc.
Bahiyyah Green, Secretary, is a native of Clearwater, Florida and a mother of two teenaged boys, which makes her an honorary Boys Scout mom. Bahiyyah has been working with and providing childcare to children and students for over 18 years. She is an active participant in the community and volunteers within our Pinellas County Schools system as well as being a former Pinellas County Employee. She is a proud graduate of St. Petersburg College where she earned an Associates Degree in Engineering. Bahiyyah is passionate about family and being supportive in the community.
Maranda Douglas, Board Treasurer, is a Pinellas County native and passionate community advocate. She is a USF Business graduate and is committed to using her education to uplift disadvantaged businesses and organizations throughout the Tampa Bay area. Maranda has served the city of Clearwater through many arts and culture related initiatives over the years, including a run for City Council, serving on Clearwater Urban Leadership Coalition and the Marine Advisory Board, and activating the Lake Belleview Neighborhood - a historically underserved Clearwater community - to complete the City's first painted intersection through the Murals on MLK project. With a daughter of her own, she is motivated to support and promote A Mothers Arms as an invaluable resource to disadvantaged youth and parents who seek a positive network.
Brianna Brye, Board Member, born and raised in Clearwater, Florida is a mother of one, a member of the St. John MB Church where she serves on the WIA board, encouragement ministry, and a choir member. Brianna is the founder of “From The Heart Ministries” and has been a childcare provider for over 10 years. She’s also an active member of the Eastern stars through which she is an active participant in the community and volunteers at many events. She Graduated from Earl C Clemmons in Morgan field, Kentucky and Florida Career College where she earned a certification in Massage therapy. Brianna is a very caring and loving person who believes that family and relationships are extremely important. Her motto is Team work makes the dream work.
Eric Davis, Board Member, is a native of Pinellas County. He attended Joliet Junior College and University of Illinois studying business. He is the husband of our founder of A Mother's Arms Inc. Chantala Davis. He is currently the manager and pitmaster of Eli's BBQ in Dunedin Fl. which has been listed as one of the top rated barbeque places in the county. He is a former football coach of boys for over 15 years and a current coach for girls flag football. He is a mentor for all ages and a great supporter to the parents of the AMA organization. Eric knows that the children are our future and supporting parents help create better futures for the next generations to come.
